Terms and Conditions

1. Who we are

Robo Reader is operated by Lambda DOO, registered at 130 Dr Vukašina Markovića, Podgorica 81000, Montenegro (PIB: 03809471), and represented by Sanja Andjelic, CEO. These terms apply to the Robo Reader Android application, www.robo-reader.com, and related account and support services.

Contact us at support@robo-reader.com.

2. Eligibility and accounts

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use Robo Reader. If you are under 18, do not create an account or use the service. Purchasers must have legal capacity to enter into a paid subscription or have authorization from an organization.

You are responsible for accurate account information, protecting your sign-in method, and activity performed through your account. Notify us promptly if you believe your account has been compromised.

3. The service

Robo Reader helps users read PDFs and permitted web articles using speed-reading views, text-to-speech, reading statistics, optional cloud synchronization, and optional AI-assisted summaries and reading help. Features may depend on device support, internet access, account status, and published usage limits.

The Google Play version is consumption-only: it can recognize Premium access already linked to your Robo Reader account, but it does not offer or link to an external checkout from inside the Android app.

4. Your documents and articles

You retain ownership of content you provide. You grant Lambda DOO the limited permission needed to process that content only to provide the features you request, such as parsing, synchronization, summaries, or AI assistance.

You may import or process content only when you own it or are authorized to use it. You must not use Robo Reader to:

  • bypass a paywall, DRM, authentication, robots restriction, or another access control;
  • copy, distribute, sell, or publicly republish protected content without authorization;
  • access another person's account, files, or private data;
  • infringe copyright, privacy, contractual, or other legal rights; or
  • upload malware or use the service unlawfully.

Robo Reader records your acknowledgement of these restrictions before article import. The acknowledgement does not mean that Lambda DOO has independently verified your rights.

5. Cloud synchronization and AI processing

Full-content cloud synchronization is optional and disabled until you enable it. When enabled, selected book text, article content, covers, progress, bookmarks, or highlights may be stored using Google Firebase so they can be restored on your account. You may disable future synchronization and delete your cloud copies from the app.

AI features are separate from cloud synchronization. When you request an AI summary, article import, or reading-companion response, relevant text and instructions are sent through Firebase AI Logic to Google Vertex AI for processing. Do not submit confidential or sensitive content unless you are authorized to do so and accept this processing.

AI responses may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your circumstances. They are not professional, legal, medical, financial, or safety advice. You are responsible for checking them before relying on them.

6. Free and Premium access

The free service may contain advertising and feature limits. Premium removes ads and provides the features and fair-use limits shown on the pricing page and in the app. We may apply reasonable technical limits to prevent abuse, protect service availability, and control third-party processing costs. We will not describe a limited service as unlimited.

When website checkout is available, Robo Reader offers monthly and annual subscriptions with the same Premium feature set. The monthly plan has a three-day trial and the annual plan has a seven-day trial. A payment method is required. Unless canceled before the trial ends, the selected subscription renews at the price and interval displayed before checkout.

7. Website purchases and Paddle

When enabled, website subscription purchases are sold and processed by Paddle, which acts as Merchant of Record. Paddle presents the final price, currency, applicable tax, renewal terms, and payment methods before purchase. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms.

Checkout availability is controlled separately from publication of the Android app. Displaying product information does not mean that live checkout is currently enabled.

8. Cancellation, refunds, and account deletion

You may cancel a subscription through your Robo Reader web account or Paddle's customer portal. Cancellation prevents future renewals. Unless a refund, dispute, or applicable law requires earlier removal, Premium access normally continues until the end of the paid period.

Refunds are handled under our Refund Policy, Paddle's Buyer Terms, and mandatory consumer law. Account deletion is different from ordinary cancellation: it is permanent, immediately removes Robo Reader account access after required subscription handling succeeds, and does not automatically create a refund.

9. Advertising and third-party services

The free Android app may show advertisements through Google AdMob. Robo Reader also relies on service providers including Google Firebase, Google Vertex AI, Vercel, and Paddle when payments are enabled. Their services may be subject to their own terms and privacy notices. Our Privacy Policy describes the relevant data flows.

10. Availability and acceptable use

We may suspend access needed to address security, abuse, legal requirements, maintenance, or material service risk. You may not reverse engineer the service except where law permits it, interfere with its operation, evade usage controls, automate abusive requests, impersonate another person, or use it to harm others.

We work to keep Robo Reader available and accurate but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation, permanent availability of a particular third-party model, or error-free extraction and speech output.

11. Intellectual property

Lambda DOO and its licensors retain all rights in Robo Reader software, branding, designs, and original service content. These terms grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable right to use the service while you comply with them. They do not transfer ownership of Robo Reader or third-party content.

12. Liability and consumer rights

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights or liability that cannot legally be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, Lambda DOO is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss caused by unsupported use, third-party service failure, or reliance on unverified AI output.

These terms are governed by the laws of Montenegro, without removing mandatory consumer protections or dispute rights available where you live.

13. Changes and contact

We may update these terms to reflect product, provider, security, or legal changes. Material changes may require a new acknowledgement in the app. The date above identifies the current version.

Questions, rights-holder notices, and abuse reports may be sent to support@robo-reader.com.
